the pub quiz 2010
On Thursday, 4th March Woolley Bevis Diplock held its second annual fun quiz at the Seven Stars on Middle Street, Brighton.
Nearly 120 of our local business friends joined us for five rounds of light hearted, but competitive brain teasers! As with last year, it was a great social occasion and an enjoyable was had by all.
The tension mounted as the evening wore on and the competition intensified. Congratulations to the winners who were the team from Carpenter Box. In second place were Parsons Son & Basley and, a respectable third was one of our own teams, Simon Alldis, Maureen Alldis, Andrew Holt and Robert Flynn.
Many thanks to all who came and who made it such a memorable evening. Also, Woolley Bevis Diplock thanks its kind guests for their generous donations to the Rockinghorse Appeal. We raised £350.00 on the night and this will be added to the total raised by Andrew Holt, our managing partner, who is running in the inaurgal Brighton Marathon, in April, to raise money for the same Appeal.
Congratulations also to Barrie Alderton Estate Agents who, through their skill and knowledge of tactical playing, won the second to bottom prize for the evening. As all learned on the night, any one can come last, but coming second to last takes real talent.
The team representing Graves Jenkins also left the evening with a prize for securing the middle ranking.
